Café de France

Lahcen Abassi, the Owner and General Manager of Café de France, has a long history with providing French baked goods in Vancouver.  Lahcen worked for The Boulangerie La Parisienne bakery as a part time job while in high school during the early 1990’s.  The bakery has specialized in providing fine pastries, desserts and artisan breads to local hotels, delis, cafés and restaurants since 1986. After earning a Physics degree from UBC and working in hotel management, Lahcen returned to manage the Boulangerie La Parisienne bakery and café in Yaletown in 2003 and purchased the company in 2006. Lahcen opened the Café de France on Hornby Street in 2007.
